Proud to Be

I am proud to be myself.  I am proud to be a non-binary human being who can be comfortable as both genders.  I am proud and lucky to have friends and a family that support me in almost everything I do.  I am proud to be someone who will fight every day of their lives to see this world become a better, more peaceful place.

I am indeed, very, very proud to be.

Photo Shoot!

I think that I will be doing more of these.

Shooting Down the Assault

I am going to talk about gun laws and I am going to tell you how I feel about them.

Right now, the gun laws in America are regulated  by state governments, but the majority require you to have some kind of permit to carry a concealed weapon.  That includes anything that goes with, or on the weapon.  Such as, ammunition, mufflers, and trigger mechanisms for simi-automatic weapons.   Only law enforcement officers and military personnel are allowed to have fully automatic weapons.

I am going to be honest with all of you.  I love shooting pistols.  They are light, easy to hold, and fun to fire.  I wouldn’t ever use one against a human being unless it was the only option.  I use them on targets at a shooting range, where security camera’s are on me at all times, and I am using every safety precaution advised for shooting it.   If I ever end up owning one and it is still legal, I will go through all the background checks necessary to get one.

I do not like shooting simi- automatic weapons.  They are really heavy and loud, even with a muffler.

Do I believe we need more regulations on guns?  Hell yes.  I don’t think civilians should own any level of automatic weapon.  I wouldn’t even give them to police.  In our very imperfect world, I would only let the military handle them.  Perhaps in the future, in a safer and more sane world, I would do away with them entirely.

You know what, if it came down to it, I would give up my right to own any kind of gun.  Why?  It would stop them from getting into the hands of the wrong people.   I would sacrifice a right to protect the lives of millions of others.

There are many people out there who will say that I just contradicted myself.  Perhaps I just did, but think of it like this.

A kid on a play ground hits another kid with a stick.   Would you give every kid a stick, or stop the problem right there by taking the stick away?  Yes, there are good people with guns out there, but even so, if we shoot each other out then no one wins.

Take the stick away.

There are many more problems that surround all of this that I will talk about it in further posts.  For now, the first obvious problem seems to be that people who don’t need guns have them.

Because Reasons.

Jessie, why have you not posted this week, or last week?   For last week, my only excuse is laziness however; this week I am in the state of Washington!  Yes, after a five hour direct flight, I have no bloody energy left.   I hope to film parts of my stay here and put them on my blog for next week.

In the meantime, enjoy these pictures.

In the midst of all the hate.  There was this.

I Hate the Hate

Hate is a very strong word and I normally do my best not to use it; however after hearing about  the Orlando shooting today, I nearly threw up.   Fifty dead.  Fifty injured.  All together, another big hole shot into the heart of the LGBTQ+ community.   I hate it.  I hate that people are filled with such hate for something that is so good.   I hate the closed minded bigots and all of their speeches about smiting the faggots, because even though god is suppose to love everyone, there are some that still aren’t on his list.  I hate that our biggest investments as a nation are in machines that kill people.

“Oh no!”  They say.  “It’s for defense.” They say.   A hole made up of a hundred people was shot into our hearts today.

“It’s not our fault.”  They say.

I hate the way society feels it’s okay to trample on some and put the trampler’s on pedestals.

“I don’t think my son should be put in jail for a few hours of activity.”

“He took my being.”  She said.

“You were drunk.” They said.

I am tired of all the hate.  I hate the hate.  A hole was shot in our hearts today, and a woman had her being taken away.

We hate the hate, the world said.

Thank You Varf

Tonight I have a very special video for you.  Today was the last day of the Virginia Reniassance Faire.  Noooo!   It was wonderful and I love you all so, so much!  Thank you, thank you, thank you for this beautiful opportunity.  I feel truly blessed.  Thank you.

A Little Hobby of Mine

Fine Art

I have been doing fine art for so long that at this point, I can’t even remember when I started.   Today I have a few pieces I would like to show you.   All except for one are coming from an AP art portfolio I did my senior year in high school.  Enjoy them!  I will be back next week (hopefully not so late) with yet another hobby.
